Model-Fit Introduction Video

My name is Ikaika Kahoano.  I grew up in Honolulu, HI, and people mostly remember me from ABC’s “Making the Band” (2000), but what some people may not know is that besides singing, I’ve always had a passion for fitness and helping others get into shape.  I graduated with honors from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2003 with a BA in Biology and a minor in pre-med studies.  I was a high school and middle school science teacher for two years before serving five years as an Officer in the US Army where I won the APFT Award (Army Physical Fitness Test) during the 2009 Officer Basic Leadership Course (OBLC) in Fort Sam Houston, TX.

For several years, people have asked me how I stay in shape, what I eat and how to get sixpack abs.  I created Model-Fit to make this knowledge available to everyone who is serious about sculpting a lean, healthy physique with sixpack abs using a Natural and Balanced approach to diet and exercise that EVERYONE can do.

Model-Fit is the fruit of my life’s work on how to get and stay lean, strong and ripped using a fun, balanced approach that will keep you challenged, motivated and injury-free.  MODEL-FIT IS THE REAL-DEAL, FUNDAMENTALLY SOUND, NO-NONSENSE BLUEPRINT ON STAYING LEAN FOR LIFE, but it is unique in that unlike the extreme diets and workouts on the market, Model-Fit is REAL and most importantly, IT IS SUSTAINABLE.  It’s a lifestyle, a model, a fitness blueprint for life.  You don’t need to be a super athlete to be Model-Fit.  You can start from the very basics and work your way up or if you are already in great shape, you can go straight to the advanced workouts to add some variety and new challenge to your routine.

I’ve always been health conscious. I try to eat right and find good workouts to do. In the past, I created my own workout routine: 3 sets of 100 reps push-ups, 3 sets of 100 reps sit-ups, 10 sets of HIIT sprints. However, doing this routine 5x a week got old REALLY fast. Another workout I completed was P90x. Because it was so effective, I completed it three times. However, as my schedule got busier, it became less realistic to spend 1.5 hours on a regular basis to do P90x.

In 2006, I met Ikaika in medical school. He introduced me to his work out regimen, which is now called Model-Fit. His workout provided the perfect balance. It consisted of a variety of exercises, which motivated me to work out. Also, since the workouts only required 40-50 minutes of your day (not 1.5 hours), I was able to squeeze in the workout during lunch, between classes. And it is a GREAT workout. In a matter of 3 months, I went from good to excellent shape, getting the six-pack I wanted. Ikaika’s Model-Fit program is not easy. It is definitely intense. However, if you have a busy schedule but want the body you’ve always wanted, this is the program for you.
